Most Bus Changes now take place on 6 set dates each year. During 2003 those dates are the weekends of 26th January, 31st March, 27th April, 1st June, 1st September and 27th October. 

Saturday 4th December 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire)

Service 800 Wakefield-Leeds-Grassington, This service will run on Saturdays the 6th, 12th and 20th December in conjunction with the Grassington Dickensian Festival

Monday 1st December 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire)

Services 101/102/103 Lupset-Wakefield-Portobello/Wrenthorpe, A new timetable is introduced to Monday to Friday peak time journeys. Most evening journeys on services 101 and 103 are withdrawn

Service 117 Wakefield-Ossett-Leeds, The Monday to Friday journey at 1530 from Wakefield is retimed to depart at 1535 and will operate 5 minutes later throughout

Service 119 Wakefield-Horbury-Ossett, All early morning journeys and most evening journeys are withdrawn

Service 127 Wakefield-Ossett-Dewsbury, The Saturday journey at 0602 from Ossett to Wakefield is withdrawn

Services 130/131/132 Leeds-Rothwell-Wakefield, A revised timetable is introduced to improve reliability

Service 147 Pontefract-Normanton-Wakefield, A revised timetable is introduced at peak times

Services 167/168/169 Leeds-Swillington-Pontefract/Knottingley, A revised timetable is introduced with some changes to the times along the route. Journeys from Leeds towards Woodlesford are now timed at Royal Mail, Stourton, and not at Thwaite Gate

Services 173/174 Wakefield-Swillington-Garforth, A revised timetable is introduced to Monday to Friday peak time journeys, and the 2005 to Garforth and 2055 to Wakefield service 174 journeys are withdrawn

Service 175 Castleford-Kippax-Garforth-Wetherby, A revised timetable is introduced with all evening journeys withdrawn. On a Saturday the 0745 journey from Micklefield Boot and Shoe to Castleford is withdrawn

Service 176 Castleford-Ledston-Ledsham-Micklefield, The 0744 Monday to Saturday journey from Micklefield is retimed to run at 0740 Monday to Fridays and 0745 on Saturdays

Services 188/189 Wakefield-Normanton-Castleford-Leeds, Journeys from Leeds towards Methley are now timed at Royal Mail, Stourton, and not at Thwaite Gate

Services 195 Wakefield-Hemsworth, The Monday to Friday journey at 0557 from Wakefield is withdrawn 

Service 249 Pontefract-Hemsworth-Upton, The Monday to Friday 0621 journey from Hemsworth to Pontefract is withdrawn. Journeys operated by Yorkshire Traction are unchanged

Services 410/411/420 Leeds-Freeport-Pontefract-Knottingley/Doncaster, A revised timetable is introduced with some changes to the times along the route, also the 0452 from Knottingley to Glasshoughton and 0514 from Glasshoughton to Pontefract on Monday to Fridays are withdrawn. Journeys from Leeds towards Methley are now timed at Royal Mail, Stourton, and not at Thwaite Gate

Service 443 Leeds-Rothwell-Wakefield-Hall Green/Barnsley, A revised timetable is introduced with some changes to times along the route

Services 446/X15/X41/X44 Leeds University-Leeds-Wakefield-Hall Green/Bretton College-Barnsley, Minor timetable changes are been made to these services to improve reliability

Service 485 Wakefield-Upton-Doncaster, Minor timetable changes are made to school time journeys and also the 2150, 2250 Monday to Saturday and 2303 Sunday Wakefield – Upton short journeys are withdrawn

Saturday 29th November 2003 (Arriva Yorkshire Heckmondwike)

Service 222 Leeds-Morley-Gildersome, This service will now operate between Leeds and Morley King George Avenue. New Times

Service 902 Shepley-Shelley, This Thursdays Only service is withdrawn

Monday 6th October 2003: (Black Prince) 

Service 54 Ireland Wood-Leeds-Morley, Services from Morley Asda towards Leeds will now depart 3 minutes earlier, while services towards Morley from Leeds Vicar Lane will now depart 5 minutes later

Sunday 14th September 2003: (First Halifax)

Sunday 14th September 2003: (First Huddersfield) Rural Line

Rural Line Service 900 Huddersfield-Ripponden-Hebden Bridge, The X900 journey now starts from Rishworth at 0752 and now only runs term time only. Most buses now serve Mytholmroyd Scout Road

Saturday 13th September 2003: (Northern Blue) 

Service 92 Burnley-Portsmouth-Todmorden, This service now also runs on Saturdays. Also the Monday to Friday service has revised times

Service X5 Halifax-Calder Valley-Blackpool-Fleetwood, This service is withdrawn. Connections to Blackpool and Fleetwood can now be made by taking the 0835 from Todmorden, changing at Burnley onto service X4

Monday 1st September 2003: (First Manchester) 

Service 562 Halifax-Ripponden-Oldham, All journeys on this service are now run by First Halifax. The 0633 from Denshaw to Oldham now runs 5 minutes earlier

Thursday 21st August 2003 until Monday 25th August 2003: (First Leeds) Special Events Service

Service X27 Leeds Sovereign Street-Bramham Park, This service will run from Leeds to Bramham Park for the Leeds Carling Festival. Buses will run every 10 minutes or better between 0900 and 0100 except on the Monday when buses will run from 0700 to 1430. The journey time is 24-33 minutes. A flat fare of £5 is charged

Service X28 Leeds City Bus Station-Bramham Park, This service will run from Leeds to Bramham Park for the Leeds Carling Festival. Buses will run every 10 minutes or better between 0900 and 0100 except on the Monday when buses will run from 0700 to 1430. The journey time is 24-33 minutes. A flat fare of £5 is charged

Service X29 Seacroft Tescos-Bramham Park, This service will run from Seacroft Tescos Car Park to Bramham Parkfor the Leeds Carling Festival. Buses will run about every 10 minutes between 1500 and 2330 on Thursday and between 0900 and 2330 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This service will not run on Bank Holiday Monday. The journey time is about 15 minutes. A flat fare of £2 is charged

Saturday 2nd August 2003: (First Leeds) Special Summer Service

New Service 950 Leeds Tour Bus, This is a new summer service operating every saturday during August and on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August. This runs three times a day 0945, 1245 & 1515 and runs from Leeds City Bus Station via Infirmary Street, Clarence Dock for the Royal Armouries, Stourton, Temple Newsam, Garforth, Micklefield, Lotherton Hall, Fairburn Ings Makins Farm County Boundary, Ledston, Kippax, Garforth and then as above back to Leeds, the full service takes 2 hour and 15 mins

New Service 951 Leeds Tour Bus, This is a new summer service operating every sunday during August. This runs via Infirmary Street, St James' Hospital for Thackray Medical Museum, Roundhay Park, Alwoodley, Bramhope and Otley returning via the same route, the return journey takes the same as service 951. 

Saturday 2nd August 2003: (J&R Travel) Special Summer Service

New Service 906 Hebden Bridge-Heptonstall-Widdop Reservoir, This is a new summer service running on saturdays and sundays until 5th October and also Bank Holiday Monday 25th August. The service runs 4 journeys to Widdop Reservoir via Slack and Blake Dean and is 'Hail and Ride' within the moorland section beyond Heptonstall where there are no fixed bus stops

Monday 28th July 2003: (Sheffield Community Transport) Penistone TaxiBus

Service 300 Penistone-Thurlstone-Ingbirchworth Circular, This service now extends into West Yorkshire serving Upper Denby between Thurlstone and Ingbirchworth. This restores a link from Upper Denby to Penistone which was lost when service 239 was withdrawn. This service runs approximately hourly

Saturday 26th July 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire) 

Services 213/215 Ouzelwell-Dewsbury-Fieldhead/Cleckheaton, New Times, Service 215 now extends to Drighlington

Services 217/219/221/229/X19 Huddersfield-Heckmondwike-Leeds, Monday to Friday peak journeys are revised with service X19 being withdrawn

Services 280/281/282/283 Thornhill Edge-Dewsbury-Fieldhead, The daytime frequency on these services will now be every 12 minutes

Saturday 26th July 2003: (Yorkshire Traction Barnsley) 

Service 211 Barnsley-South Elmsall-Doncaster, New Times

Services 242/243 Barnsley-Royston-Ryhill/Newstead, These services are renumbered 52 and 53 with no changes to the route or times

Services 445/448 Wakefield-Barnsley, These services are renumbered 59 and 58 with no changes to the route or times

Monday 21st July 2003: (First Leeds) Summer Timetables

First Leeds will be introducing a summer timetable on Overground services Brown Line 1, Light Green Line 33/33A, Mauve Line 42, Turquoise Line 56 and Sky Blue Line 96/96A/X96 and services 15, 28, 46/46A, 55, 74/74A, 75/75A, 94, 97/97A & X84

Overground Brown Line Service 1 Beeston-Leeds-Holt Park, The 0754 from Beeston now runs 5 mins earlier from Infirmary Street to Holt Park, the 1754 from Beeston has also been retimed and the 1819 now departs 5 minutes later. On journeys from Holt Park the Frequent service will run from 0710 to 1720

Service 15 Leeds-Pudsey-Bradford, A revised timetable will be in operation with minor times changes

Service 28 Leeds-Adel, A revised timetable will be in operation with changes particularly at peak times

Overground Light Green Line Services 33/33A Leeds-Menston/Otley, Peak time journeys will have reduced running times

Mauve Line Service 42 Old Farnley-Leeds-Fearnville, Minor times alterations during the summer period

Services 46/46A/55 Leeds-Morley, Peak time journeys will have reduced running times

Overground Turquoise Line 56 Moor Grange-Leeds-Whinmoor, Minor peak time alterations

Services 74/74A/75/75A Middleton-Leeds-Tinshill/Ireland Wood, Peak time journeys will run at revised times

Services 94 Leeds-Drighlington, Morning peak time journeys have revised times

Sky Blue Line Services 96/96A/X96 Leeds-Cookridge/Tinshill, Peak time journeys will run at revised times

Services 97/97A Leeds-Horsforth-Bradford/Guiseley, Various peak time journeys have revised timings

Service X84 Leeds-Otley-Ilkley-Skipton, The 0744 from Ilkley will now arrive in Leeds 11 mins earlier and the 1715, 1735 & 1755 departures from Leeds will now run 5-10 mins earlier from Headingley

Service 95 Clarence Dock-Leeds-Bodington Hall, Until the start of the 2003/4 university academic year all daytime and evening journeys will be withdrawn. The only services that will operate during the summer are overnight journeys and these will run from Leeds Infirmary Street to Lawnswood Roundabout Only

Sunday 20th July 2003: (First Leeds) DalesBus

Service 33 Leeds-Guiseley-Ilkley, On Sundays this service is extended hourly to Bolton Abbey. This exension will run on Sundays and Bank Holidays until 28 September. A change of bus may be required at Ilkley

Services 808 Wakefield-Leeds-Ilkley-Ingleton-Keswick, The summer Lakesbus is introduced for 2003. This year this service also runs on Saturdays as well as Sundays until 31st August 2003. The route in the lakes area is revised

Fastline Service X81 Bradford-Shelf-Halifax, This service is WITHDRAWN

Service 60 Otley-Pateley Bridge-How Stean Gorge, Monday to Friday service revised to provide a consistant service of three return journeys each day, new times and a minor route alteration

Wednesday 4th June 2003: (Coastlinks Express) 

New Service X88 Accrington-Todmorden-Halifax-Keighley-Skipton, This summer Wednesdays service is reintroduced this year, operating one journey each way

Sunday 25th May 2003: (Keighley & District) DalesBus

Service 802 Bradford-Leeds-Otley-Pateley Bridge-Ripon-Lightwater Valley-Leyburn, This summer sunday Dalesbus service is introduced for this year's season, operating until 26th October, this year the route is revised in the Pateley Bridge area

Sunday 25th May 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire) DalesBus

Bike Bus Service 810 Wakefield-Leeds-Grassington, The bike bus service is introduced, now operates via Otley and Ilkley between Leeds and Grassington rather than via Keighley. Also now extends to Kettlewell. The service will run untul 31st August 2003

New Bike Bus Service 820 Kettlewell-Malham, This is a new bike bus service introduced for 2003 instead of last year's Bike Bus service on part of the service 800 route. The service will run untul 31st August 2003

Saturday 24th May 2003: (Keighley & District)  

Service 200 Leeds-Bradford-Keighley-Skipton-Lancaster-Morecambe, This summer service is introduced operating on Saturdays until 27th September. A sunday service is also introduced from July 6th

Service 841 Keighley-Bradford-Leeds-Bridlington-Filey-Scarborough, This summer service is introduced operating on Saturdays until 27th September. A sunday service is also introduced from July 6th

Sunday 18th May 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire)  

Service 250 Bradford-Dewsbury-Wakefield, On Schooldays the 0925 from Wakefield now commences at Flushdyke School at 0938. School Holiday journeys are unchanged

Service 253 Bradford-Dewsbury-Wakefield, On Schooldays the 0733 from Bradford will now run 5 minutes later and terminate at Dewsbury. School Holiday journeys are unchanged

Thoughlink Service 935 Denby Dale-Wakefield, Certain rush hour services now terminate at Wakefield Westgate Station to improve reliability. Passengers can change onto any passing Arriva service to take them on to the town centre and bus station at no extra charge

Saturday 3rd May 2003: (Arriva Yorkshire) DalesBus

New Service 801 Wakefield-Leeds-Bradford-Ilkley-Bolton Abbey-Grassington-Hawes-Keld, This is a new Dalesbus service introduced for the 2003 season. The service will run on Saturdays uintil 27th September

Service 803 Wakefield-Bradford-Leeds-Harrogate-Lightwater Valley-Hawes, This summer sunday Dalesbus service is introduced. This service will operate on sundays from 4th May to 28th September

Monday 28th April 2003: (Northern Blue)

New Service 92 Burnley-Todmorden, This is a new service operating every 30 minutes during Monday to Friday daytimes

Monday 28th April 2003: (M Travel)

Service 134 Castleford-Pontefract, Additional Afternoon journeys are introduced on this servi

New Service 920 Holmfirth-Hade Edge, This is a new evening and sunday service which connects into Service 20 providing a link to Cinderhills

Service 800 Wakefield-Leeds-Ilkley-Bolton Abbey-Grassington-Hawes, This summer sunday DalesBus service is introduced for the 2003 season. The service will run until 26th October. Service 800 will not run on Saturdays or Tuesdays this year

Service 804 Wakefield-Leeds-Bradford-Keighley-Malham, The summer sunday service on this route is introduced, running until 26th October. This service also operates on Saturdays all year round

Service 805 Wakefield-Leeds-Otley-Ilkley-Bolton Abbey-Grassington-Hawes, This summer sunday DalesBus service is introduced for the 2003 season. The service will run until 26th October. Three short journeys also operate between Ilkley and Grassington/Hawes

Service 806 Wakefield-Bradford-Ilkley-Bolton Abbey-Grassington,  This summer sunday DalesBus service is introduced for the 2003 season. The service will run until 26th October

Sunday 20th April 2003: (Keighley & District) DalesBus

Service 159 Richmond-Leyburn, This summer sunday Dalesbus service is introduced. Two journeys operate each way. This service will run until 26 October 2003

Service 807 Keighley-Hawes-Leyburn-Richmond, This summer sunday Dalesbus service is introduced. This service will run until 26 October 2003. This year the bus will run via Aysgarth between Hawes and Leyburn rather than Reeth

Service 812 Bronte Scenic Tour, This service is introduced for the summer season with a new route and times

Sunday 20th April 2003: (Yorkshire Coastliner)

Services 840/842/843/845/X45 Leeds-York-Malton-East Coast Resorts, The summer timetable is introduced on these routes from this date. This is one week earlier than previously advertised in current publicity.

Tuesday 1st April 2003: (Bradford Bus Company)

Services 615/617/618 Bradford-Allerton, These services are withdrawn

Service 620 Bradford-Haworth Road, This service is withdrawn

Sunday 30th March: (Yorkshire Traction/Stagecoach in Chesterfield/TM Travel) PeakBus

Services 61/61A/310 Huddersfield-Holmfirth-Glossop-New Mills-Buxton, The Summer service has commenced and will operate until the third Sunday in October

Nightrider Service 924 Leeds-Pudsey-Swinnow, The journeys at 2340 & 0110 are withdrawn, the only journey still to operate is the 0220

Monday 6th January 2003: (Keighley & District)

Service 78A Keighley-Airedale Hospital-Skipton, On Monday to Fridays there is an extra bus at 1635 from Airedale Hospial to Keighley

Saturday 4th January 2003: (Yorkshire Traction)

Services 84/85 South Kirkby-South Elmsall-Upton, New Times 

Services 201-203 Huddersfield-Dewsbury-Leeds, Journeys operated by Yorkshire Traction are withdrawn

Services 219/221 Huddersfield-Heckmondwike-Leeds, Journeys operated by Yorkshire Traction are withdrawn

Service 262 Huddersfield-Mirfield-Dewsbury, Now only runs early mornings, evenings and sundays. Monday to Saturday daytime journeys are withdrawn and replaced by new service X62

New Service X62 Huddersfield-Mirfield-Dewsbury-Leeds, This is a new Monday to Saturday daytimes service operating as per the present service 262 to Dewsbury and then direct to the White Rose Centre and Leeds. Runs Every 30 minutes

Thursday 2nd January 2003: (Northern Blue)

Service 592 Halifax-Todmorden-Burnley, This service is withdrawn

Service X5 Halifax-Todmorden-Blackpool-Fleetwood, This service now only runs Thursdays and Saturdays, revised times
