A normal Friday service will operate on all routes

Christmas Eve Saturday 24 December 2005

A Saturday service will operate until around 7pm when services will progressively be withdrawn

Ross Travel - Services will close down from 3pm

A special late evening service will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party in the Huddersfield area:

Buses will run between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. There will be two return journeys at 20:00 and 21:00. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate. The service will operate free of charge

Christmas Day Sunday 25 December 2005

No Service will operate except for special voluntary bus services in Keighley and Huddersfield

Special bus services will be operated by Keighley Bus Museum Trust. Two buses will be required to operate the following services on an hourly basis

Service 12: Keighley - Oxenhope & Haworth Circular. 10:28 to 15:28

Service 12: Keighley - Airedale Hospital. 11:00 to 16:00

Service 17: Keighley - Braithwaite Circular. 11:10 to 15:10

Service 17: Keighley - Oakworth. 11:30 to 14:30

Buses will depart from Worth Way in Keighley Town Centre and will operate free of charge

Also a special service will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party in the Huddersfield area:

Buses will run hourly between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. Buses will be in operation from 12:00 to 17:00. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate. The service will operate free of charge

 

Boxing Day Monday 26 December 2005

No Service will operate except the following services

Service 737 operated by Pegasus will operate every 2 hours between Bradford and Leeds Bradford Airport

Service 757 operated by First Leeds will operate every 2 hours between Leeds and Leeds Bradford Airport

Service 767 operated by Harrogate & District will operate to the normal Monday timetable between Harrogate and Leeds Bradford Airport

Special services operated by Meltham and District Volunteers will operate in the Huddersfield area as follows:

Services 301/302 will operate via the usual First 301/302 route between Huddersfield and Golcar via Paddock and Milnsbridge. Buses will run every 90 minutes at 10:27 (301), 11:57 (302), 13:27 (301), 14:57 (302) and 16:30 (301).  Buses will depart from Westgate stop W4

Service 321 will operate via the usual First 321 route between Huddersfield and Meltham Broadlands via Marten Nest and Netherton. Buses will run hourly between 10:30 and 17:30. Buses will return from Meltham hourly from 10:00 to 17:00. The service will depart from Westgate stop W3

Services 350/352 will operate via the usual First 350/352 route between Huddersfield and Marsden Hard End/Dirker via Cowlersley and Slaithwaite but will also call at St. Luke's Hospital on request. Buses will run every 90 minutes at 11:00 (352), 12:30 (350), 14:00 (352), 15:30 (350) & 17:10 (352). Buses return from Marsden at 10:00 (350), 11:30 (352), 13:00 (350), 14:30 (352) & 16:00 (350). Buses will depart from Westgate stop W4

A special service will be operated by Rodger Batley with permission of Stotts Coaches in the Huddersfield area:

Service H11 will run every 2 to 3 hours between Scholes, Holmfirth, Thongsbridge, Brockholes, Honley, Lockwood, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Salendine Nook. The bus will run between 08:50 and 18:44. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate and Kingsgate

Also special services will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party in the Huddersfield area:

Buses will run hourly between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. Buses will be in operation from 11:00 to 22:00. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate

There will also be another service provided by Kirkburton Green Party, operating between Shepley, Kirkburton and Huddersfield. Buses will operate hourly and use Westgate in Huddersfield Town Centre

Bank Holiday Tuesday 27 December 2005

A Sunday service will operate on all routes except as follows:

B-Line Travel - A Saturday service will operate

First Halifax - Service 588 will NOT run

First Leeds - A Sunday service will operate. Services 1, 9, 18/18A, 28, 33/33A, 40, 49, 50/50A, 51/51A, 64, 74A, 96 & 97 will operate to a Sunday service with an increased frequency during the daytime

Halifax Joint Committee - Services 36, 376 & 509 will operate to their published Bank Holiday timetables

Harrogate & District - A Saturday service will operate on services 36 & 770. A normal Tuesday service will operate on service 767

Longstaffs - Service 205 will operate to the published Bank Holiday timetable

Reliance - DalesBus service 805 will operate

Ross Travel - Service 125 will operate a normal Tuesday service

Yorkshire Traction - A Sunday service will operate except for service 61A which will NOT run

Wednesday 28/Thursday 29/Friday 30 December 2005

A Saturday service will operate on all routes except as follows:

First Halifax/Huddersfield - A Saturday service will operate except that Services 517, M1 & MC4 will NOT run and Service 500 will operate a normal weekday timetable

First Leeds - A Saturday service will operate with additional early morning journeys on services 1, 8, 9, 33/33A, 38, 42, 46, 73, 86, 91/91A, 97/97A, 98, 99, & X84. Scott Hall Road services 35, 45, 47, 71 & X35 will operate to a special timetable towards Leeds before 8.30am

Harrogate & District - A normal weekday service will operate

JRT - A normal weekday service will operate

K-Line Travel - A Saturday service will operate except service 911 which will operate a normal weekday service and service 242 which will operate to a special timetable

Ross Travel - A saturday service will operate except on service 125 where a normal weekday service will operate

Stotts - A normal weekday service will operate

TLC  Travel - A saturday service will operate on service MC3 and a normal weekday service will operate on service MC1

Yorkshire Coastliner - A normal weekday service will operate

New Years Eve Saturday 31 December 2005

A Saturday service will operate until around 7pm when services will progressively be withdrawn

No Late Night services will operate anywhere in West Yorkshire this year

The service will operate from Armley Town Street via the route of service 5 & 42 via Old Farnley, Leysholme and Copley Hill to Leeds. Buses will run hourly between 9:00 and 18:00. Journeys from Leeds will depart from Wellington Street Stop S1

Bank Holiday Monday 2 January 2006

A Sunday service will operate on all routes except as follows:

Train Services

Friday 23 December - Normal services will operate

Christmas Eve Saturday 24 December - Normal local services will operate until approximately 2000. Most late evening trains after 2100 will not run. There will be no overnight TransPennine Express services and some late night trains will not run or will terminate early. An amended GNER service will operate with an earlier than normal closedown. Last train to London will be 1815 from Leeds; last train to Leeds will be 1810 London Kings Cross - Skipton. Some late night Virgin Trains trains may not run.

Christmas Day Sunday 25 December - No service

Boxing Day Monday 26 December - No service

Bank Holiday Tuesday 27 December - Normal weekday local services will operate from approximately 0700. Some local trains before 0700 will not run. Early morning TransPennine Express services before 0530 will not run. Some early morning TransPennine Express trains will not start at the advertised station. A reduced GNER service will operate. First train to London will be 0805 from Leeds; first train to Leeds will be 0850 from London Kings Cross. Due to engineering work in the Stevenage area, GNER trains from London will depart earlier than normal and trains to London will have increased journey times of approximately 15 minutes.

Wednesday 28 December to Friday 30 December - Normal weekday local services will operate. A reduced GNER service will operate. First train to London will be 0605 from Leeds; first train to Leeds will be 0600 from London Kings Cross. During the late evening on Friday 30 December, due to engineering work in the Doncaster area, northbound GNER trains will be unable to call at Doncaster, with replacement coaches serving Doncaster. Due to engineering work early morning TransPennine Express trains before 0530 each day will be diverted via Manchester Victoria not calling at Huddersfield. Rail replacement buses between York/Leeds and Manchester Airport will serve Huddersfield. 2322 (WThO) Huddersfield - Manchester V. will be replaced by a bus throughout, calling all stations, Manchester V. arrive 0112.

New Years Eve Saturday 31 December - Normal Saturday local services will operate until approximately 2000. Most late evening trains after 2100 will not run. Overnight Saturday/Sunday TransPennine Express services will operate normally. A reduced GNER service will operate. Last train to London will be 1840 from Leeds, changing at
Doncaster; last trains to Leeds will be 1810 London Kings Cross - Skipton then 1900 London Kings Cross, changing at Doncaster.

New Years Day Sunday 1 January - Normal Sunday local services will operate in Yorkshire all day. No Northern services will operate in the North East of England area. A reduced GNER service will operate with no trains north of Edinburgh. First train to London will be 1040 from Leeds; first train to Leeds will be 1010 from London Kings Cross.
Overnight Saturday/Sunday and early morning TransPennine Express services will operate normally. Due to industrial action a reduced service will be operated by Virgin Crosscountry trains every 2 hours via Wakefield Westgate and Leeds. Due to a staff shortage a revised service will be in operation on Midland Mainline.

Bank Holiday Monday 2 January - Normal weekday local services will operate from approximately 0700. Some local trains before 0700 will not run. A reduced GNER service will operate. First train to London will be 0720 from Leeds; first train to Leeds will be 0800 from London Kings Cross, connecting at Doncaster into a train to Wakefield and Leeds.
Due to engineering work, early morning TransPennine Express trains before 0530 will be diverted via Wakefield Kirkgate between Leeds and Huddersfield, with extended journey times.

Tuesday 4 January - Normal services will operate
