Saturday 23 December 2006

A normal Saturday service will operate on all routes
Leeds late night buses will operate

Yellow Line Service 2 (Leeds Station Interchange S7 - Moortown - Roundhay Park), departs at 0045, 0145, 0245
Green Line Service 12 (Leeds Station Interchange S8 - Hunslet - Middleton Thorpe Lane), departs at 0030, 0130, 0230
Claret Line Service 16 (Leeds Station Interchange S6 - Armley - Bramley Town End), departs at 0045, 0145, 0245
Orange Line Service 50 (Leeds Station Interchange S9 - Harehills - Seacroft), departs at 0045, 0145, 0245
Magenta Line Service 51 (Leeds Station Interchange S10 - Churwell - Morley Town Hall), departs at 0030, 0130, 0230

All services after leaving Leeds Station Interchange call at Albion Street J1 (Services 12 and 51 also then call at Corn Exchange K3) and then operate for alighting only

A flat fare of £2 is charged on these services. Metro concessions and pre-paid tickets are not valid

  Christmas Eve Sunday 24 December 2006

A Sunday service will operate until around 7.00pm (6.30pm on Arriva Yorkshire) when services will progressively be withdrawn. All buses will be withdrawn by 8.30pm (7.30pm on Arriva Yorkshire)

Arriva Yorkshire - Dalesbus service 805 will not operate

A special late evening service will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party. Buses will run at 2000 & 2100 between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate

Christmas Day Monday 25 December 2006

No Service 

A special daytime service will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party. Buses will run at 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500 & 1600 between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate

Special bus services will be operated by Keighley Bus Museum Trust. Two buses will be required to operate the following services on an hourly basis

Service 17: Keighley - Braithwaite Circular. 11:00 to 15:00

Service 17: Keighley - Oakworth. 10:25 to 14:25

Service 19: Keighley - Oxenhope & Haworth Circular. 10:25 to 15:25

Service 19: Keighley - Airedale Hospital. 11:00 to 16:00

Buses will depart from North Street in Keighley Town Centre and will operate free of charge

Boxing Day Tuesday 26 December 2006

No Service will operate except for the following services

Service 757 operated by First Leeds will operate every 2 hours between Leeds and Leeds Bradford Airport. In Leeds the service will depart from stand F7 on New York Street due to Leeds City Bus Station being closed

Service 767 operated by Harrogate & District will operate to the normal Tuesday timetable between Harrogate and Leeds Bradford Airport

Special voluntary services will be operated in the Huddersfield area as follows:

Special services operated by Meltham and District Volunteers as follows:

Service 302 will operate between Huddersfield and Golcar via Paddock and Milnsbridge. Buses will run hourly from 1015 to 1715 departing from Westgate stop W4

Service 321 will operate between Huddersfield and Meltham Broadlands via Marten Nest and Netherton. Buses will run hourly between 10:30 and 17:30 (no journey at 14:30). Buses will return from Meltham hourly from 10:00 to 17:00. (no journey at 1400) The service will depart from Westgate stop W3

Service 328 will operate between Huddersfield and Bradley Badger via Bradford Road, Fartown Bar and Deighton. Buses will run hourly from 1045 to 1645 (no journey at 1345) and will depart from Market Street Sainsburys

A special service will be operated by Rodger Batley with permission of Stotts Coaches in the Huddersfield area:

Service H11 will run approximately every 2 hours between Scholes, Holmfirth, Thongsbridge, Brockholes, Honley, Lockwood, Huddersfield, Marsh and Royal Infirmary. The bus will depart from Scholes at 0930, 1052, 1215, 1440, 1605 & 1745 and return from Huddersfield Royal Infirmary at 0912 (from Lockwood), 1015, 1136, 1300, 1524 & 1650. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate and Kingsgate

Also a special service will be operated by Huddersfield Green Party in the Huddersfield area:

Buses will run hourly between Berry Brow, Newsome, Huddersfield, Royal Infirmary and Mount. Buses will be in operation from 1100 to 2200. In Huddersfield Town Centre buses will operate via Westgate

Wednesday 27/Thursday 28/Friday 29 December 2006

A Saturday service will operate on all routes except as follows:

Arriva Yorkshire - A Saturday service will operate. Dalesbus service 805 will also operate on Wednesday 27th December

First Bradford - A Saturday service will operate except that services 737 & 747 will operate to a normal weekday timetable

First Halifax - A Saturday service will operate except that service 517 will not operate

First Leeds - A Saturday service will operate with additional early morning journeys on services 1, 9, 38, 42, 46, 86, 99 & X84. A special timetable will operate on service X35 with 2 inbound morning journeys and 1 outbound evening journey

Halifax Bus Company - A normal weekday service will operate except for service 504 where a Saturday service will operate

Harrogate & District - A normal weekday service will operate

Longstaffs - A normal weekday service will operate

Northern Blue - A normal weekday service will operate

Ross Travel - A Saturday service will operate except for service 125 where a normal weekday service will operate

Yorkshire Coastliner - A normal weekday service will operate

Saturday 30 December 2006

A normal Saturday service will operate on all routes

New Years Eve Sunday 31 December 2005

No Service will operate except for the following services

The service will operate from Armley Town Street via the route of service 5 & 42 via Old Farnley, Leysholme and Copley Hill to Leeds. Buses will run hourly between 9:00 and 18:00. Journeys from Leeds will depart from Wellington Street Stop S1

During the festive period, the following Off Peak Maximum, Cheap Day Return fares on trains, Dayrover validility, operator's ticket conditions and Concessionary fares will apply as follows:

Train Services

Saturday 23 December - Normal Saturday local services will operate. Due to signalling work late evening trains after 2200 will be unable to access York. Buses will replace trains between Micklefield/Church Fenton and York. TransPennine Express journeys between Leeds and York will be replaced by bus service

Christmas Eve Sunday 24 December - Normal Sunday local services will operate until approximately 2000. Late night trains will not run. Buses replace Northern trains between Skipton and Carlisle, Church Fenton and York, Hexham and Carlisle, GNER trains between Grantham and Newark/ York, and Transpennine Express trains between Leeds and York, Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport/Liverpool.

Christmas Day Monday 25 December - No rail services will operate

Boxing Day Tuesday 26 December - No rail services will operate

Wednesday 27 December - Normal weekday local services will operate from approximately 0730. Early morning trains will not run. Buses replace trains between Kirkby Stephen and Carlisle

Thursday/Friday 28/29 December - Normal weekday local services will operate. Buses replace trains between Kirkby Stephen and Carlisle. 

Saturday 30 December - Normal saturday local services will operate. Buses replace trains between Kirkby Stephen and Carlisle. 

New Years Eve Sunday 31 December - Normal Sunday local services will operate until approximately 2000. Late night trains will not run. Overnight Transpennine Express trains will run normally. Buses replace trains between Skipton and Carlisle, between Bamber Bridge and Blackpool North before 1600, and Transpennine Express trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport. 

New Years Day Monday 1 January - Normal weekday local services will operate from approximately 0730 in Yorkshire. No local services in Tyne/Tees area will operate. Leeds - Lancaster/ Morecambe and Carlisle trains will be withdrawn throughout with buses replacing trains between Skipton and Carlisle, Skipton and Morecambe.
