GNER operate Intercity services from London Kings Cross to the North and Scotland
Services in West Yorkshire includes a hourly Leeds to London Kings Cross service, via Wakefield Westgate, Doncaster, Retford, Newark North Gate, Grantham, Peterborough and Stevenage. This service is increased to operate twice an hour at most times. Daily services also start back at Bradford Forster Square, Skipton or Harrogate
Other services include two services an hour which operate northwards from London KX to Doncaster and York, Northallerton, Darlington, Durham and Newcastle. Some journeys extend northwards to Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen. Services to Inverness/ Aberdeen/Skipton/Hull & Harrogate are not electrified so only HSTs can be used on these services
Special services outside West Yorkshire includes the "Scottish Pullman" which takes only 5.5 hours London to Glasgow, The "Highland Chieftain" operates from London to Edinburgh and then to Inverness, taking 8 hours to complete the journey
WEST YORKSHIRE SERVICES: (Winter 2003/4 until 22nd May 2004)
GNER operate certain special services which run into West Yorkshire. The "Yorkshire Pullman" services call at a reduced number of stations, and run between Leeds and London in just two hours. Some Services are operated by leased Eurostar trains, and are shown as "White Rose" services in the timetable below

WR = White Rose services operated by Eurostar trains. YP = The Yorkshire Pullman
Also, One service per day starts in Leeds at 0710 and runs to Aberdeen calling at York York, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Morpeth, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Dunbar, Edinburgh, Haymarket, Inverkeithing, Kirkcaldy, Leuchars, Dundee, Arbroath, Montrose, Stonehaven and Aberdeen arriving at 1300. This is run using a HST set. GNER operate Wakefield Westgate station in West Yorkshire, and staff are also present at Leeds. Bradford FS, Skipton, Keighley & Harrogate stations are operated by Arriva Trains Northern Limited.
The majority of GNER services are operated by electric Class 91 "Intercity 225" locomotives. There are 31 sets of 9 Mk4 coaches which are formed with 6 standard coaches, 1 buffet/resturant car and 2 first. Pullman sets are formed with 5 standard, 1 buffet/restuarant car and 3 first class cars. The refurbished set is formed with 5 standard coaches, 1 standard/cafe/bar, a first dining car and 2 first class cars. A Driving Van Trailer is located at the London end of the set along with First Class. These are shown as "E" in the timetable
These sets can only operate on the core section of the East Coast Mainline which are electrified by overhead wires, for services which continue into unelectrified areas (such as the service from Harrogate) then Diesel trains are needed
GNER operate 10 "Intercity 125" High speed trains, These are formed by 9 Mk3 coaches and two class 43 power cars at each end. These are formed with 6 standard, 1 buffet/restaurant and 2 First. These are shown as "HST" in the timetable
"White Rose" services operate certain journeys between London and Leeds, these are operated by spare Eurostar units. These are shown as "EMU" in the timetable
All trains are in GNER livery, recent repaints have gained red doors. Some Eurostar sets carry unbranded Eurostar livery
