STANDARD OFF PEAK SINGLE FARES
Off peak fares are available between 0930 and 1500 and after 1800 on Monday to Fridays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays
The maximum off peak fare is currently £1.80 on First in Bradford and Leeds buses and £1.60 on Keighley & District and Harrogate & District buses
There is no off peak maximum fare on services operated by Arriva Yorkshire or First in Calderdale and Huddersfield. Peak fares are now charged at all times by these operators
This maximum fare only applies in West Yorkshire. Certain long distance services such as service X6 & 500 are changed at a higher rate
Smaller operators generally charge the same off peak fare as the major operator in the area, or are cheaper
Peak fares are charged before 0930 and between 1500 and 1800 on Monday to Fridays
The maximum peak fare is currently £2.00 on First in Calderdale and Huddersfield, £2.10 on First in Bradford, £2.30 on First Leeds and £3.00 on Keighley & District. It is unknown what the maximum peak fare is on Arriva Yorkshire buses. Ask the driver for details
This maximum fare only applies in West Yorkshire. Certain long distance services such as service X6 are changed at a higher rate
Return fares are available on most services operated by Keighley & District, Harrogate & District and Yorkshire Coastliner. Return fares are not available on most other operators, day tickets are offered instead.
A special 'Morley Return' is available on First in Leeds buses for £2.70
First Bradford offer return fares on service 653 only
Children under 5 travel free
Children aged between 5 and 15 are charged half fare. Children aged 11 and over must have a Metro Young Person's Photocard to be able to claim this benefit. This costs £2.00
Children aged between 16 and 18 and attending school or college can also claim half fare but only with a Metro Scholar's Photocard which costs £2.00
Seniors over 60 can travel for free on all bus services across West Yorkshire but only if they have a Metro Seniors permit. Before 0930 on Monday to Fridays full fare is charged
There are also benefits for holders of a Metro Disabled Person's permit or Metro Blind Person's Permit.
Registered Unemployed people are entitled to 28 days half fare travel by purchasing a MetroRover costing £5.00
